What methods do Bioscan use to access the vessels?
The access method for the inspection varies based on the vessel being inspected.
For example, in the case of a Spray Dryer Inspection services, our technicians will determine the most efficient way. This decision is highly reliant on the construction and access of the spray dryer. The inspection can then be performed with the help of ropes, ladders, or our gantry platform. No scaffolding is therefore required to be used. Our technicians will then inspect the entire vessel surface, looking for defects, and mark each defect found. The client can then benefit from Bioscan having competent and qualified welders to immediately repair the cracks. Once repaired, the areas undergo another inspection to ensure their integrity.
In addition, the other inspection services we also offer are:
- Plate & Tubular Heat Exchanger Integrity Inspections using a hydrogen gas testing method. This enables us to detect even the smallest micro-cracks within the heat exchangers, ensuring any issues are detected before they could potentially cause a cross-contamination issue.
- Biofilm Detection using our handheld BioDtex lamp, Bacteria and Biofilms can now be located in real-time using our variable wavelength technology. Potential contamination zones may be in areas such as; filling machines, water or product tanks, pipes, etc. However, it may not be clear where it is coming from. BioDtex can help determine the location of contamination and make the cleaning & removal much easier. The high-intensity radiation emitted from these lamps enables the operator to view large areas at long distances, for example, looking at contamination at the bottom of a tank when standing at the top.
