Our primary service offerings include spray dryer and vessel crack testing inspections and repairs. Using our highly advanced and accurate electronic scanning technology, combined with unique access methods, we are focused on preventing cross-contamination with minimum disruption to our clients’ downtime and productivity.
Why do the food processing and pharmaceutical industry require inspection services?
Vessels used to process, store, and transport food products and pharmaceutical products need tank inspection & engineering services to ensure the product isn’t compromised. Process vessels subject to multiple thermal cycles and mechanical changes require inspection to detect fatigue cracks early. These cracks cannot be easily identified through visual/camera or dye penetrant methods, which is where Bioscan’s world-class electronic scanning technology comes in. It helps us efficiently detect hidden defects without using any dyes or chemicals.
Bioscan’s Extensive Range Of Vessel Inspection Services:
- Spray Dryers
- Process Silo’s/Tanks
- Cyclones & Bag Filters
- Fluid Beds
- Cheese Vat’s/Tables
- Road Tankers
Why should you choose Bioscan?
Prompt identification of Defects:
Our expert technicians inspect 100% of the entire vessel, looking for any visible or non-visible defects that could compromise the vessel’s integrity.
Extended Life Cycles:
When issues such as cracks are promptly identified, it is then easier to repair them in a timely fashion. This can then offer the opportunity to extend the life cycle of the vessel.
Reduced Risk of Product Contamination & Recalls:
We will promptly identify and repair the defects detected within the vessel, reducing the risk of any product recalls due to contamination.
Use of Cutting Edge Technology And Equipment:
We only use state-of-the-art equipment and technology, such as our bespoke Gantry platform and Rope Access Methods, to provide highly efficient inspection services.
Full Inspection Report:
Our clients receive a full inspection report with every vessel that is inspected. The report will include photos, the depth of the cracks, the reason for the defect, and 3D mapping.
What methods do Bioscan use to access the vessels?
The access method for the inspection varies based on the vessel being inspected.
For example, in the case of a Spray Dryer Inspection services, our technicians will determine the most efficient way. This decision is highly reliant on the construction and access of the spray dryer. The inspection can then be performed with the help of ropes, ladders, or our gantry platform. No scaffolding is therefore required to be used. Our technicians will then inspect the entire vessel surface, looking for defects, and mark each defect found. The client can then benefit from Bioscan having competent and qualified welders to immediately repair the cracks. Once repaired, the areas undergo another inspection to ensure their integrity.
In addition, the other inspection services we also offer are:
- Biofilm Detection using our handheld BioDtex lamp, Bacteria and Biofilms can now be located in real-time using our variable wavelength technology. Potential contamination zones may be in areas such as; filling machines, water or product tanks, pipes, etc. However, it may not be clear where it is coming from. BioDtex can help determine the location of contamination and make the cleaning & removal much easier. The high-intensity radiation emitted from these lamps enables the operator to view large areas at long distances, for example, looking at contamination at the bottom of a tank when standing at the top.
